Why PrimeCore?

I grew up in a construction family, as my Dad and brother worked in the industry, so to be the owner of PrimeCore really is full circle. For me, it is the relationships that I have been able to create over the years with our team, their families, customers, clients, and vendors, that I am truly thankful for. I feel a sense of pride knowing that when I drive past a building or site that we were a part of, we’ve had an impact on the footprint of the Greater Seattle Area. In my free time, I enjoy watching my daughter play soccer, spending time with my family and friends and playing golf with my husband. I am obsessed with my Peloton bike and like to stay active. I take a lot of pride in being a woman in construction and hope that I can be a mentor to other women looking to enter the industry.

My path in the construction industry started at 14 years old when my Dad and I built a home from the ground up on Lake Tapps. I was extremely focused, in my late teens, on competitive water skiing and competing on the professional freestyle snow skiing tour. When the freestyle circuit went bankrupt, I realized that the ski-bum life was not going to work out and I started working for a local home builder as a subcontractor building custom homes from the ground up. From there, I teamed up with a real estate development firm in the early 80s and for the next decade we bought, designed and built several multi-family properties in the University District area. I eventually moved on to focus specifically on civil construction and have been doing so for nearly three decades. I am proud of what we have built at PrimeCore; I love my work family and hope to see PrimeCore succeed well beyond my years. I feel a sense of pride knowing that PrimeCore has been a part of the changing landscape in Western Washington. Away from work, I am a proud husband, father of four daughters and grandfather to six grandkids. I enjoy spending time with my family, stand-up paddle boarding, golfing and watching my youngest daughter compete in soccer.

Transplant to Washington State, I have enjoyed the beauty and quality of life found in the Greater Seattle area. Seeing the anticipation and excitement over the course of construction is extremely rewarding. I enjoy being part of building facilities for the end users – the power of team work continually amazes me and I look forward to the future.
